When we love we do not need laws

If everyone would keep God's laws and would keep to love,
we would not to have civil laws who should remind us what we can and can not.
If we love God we know how we should live in harmony.
Where love has entered, there is no law necessary to focus.
- Marcus Ampe

We too often love things and use people
when we should be using things and loving people.
- Author Unknown

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
We must learn to live together as brothers, or perish together as fools.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

The first duty of love is to listen.
- Paul Tillich

“Let not kindness and truth forsake thee: Bind them about thy neck; Write them upon the tablet of thy heart:”
Proverbs 3:3

“Hatred stirreth up strifes; But love covereth all transgressions.”
Proverbs 10:12

“Do they not err that devise evil? But mercy and truth [shall be to] them that devise good.”
Proverbs 14:22

God I am grateful for the love you give me
I ask You that I shall be able to give much love to others.

Be still and listen

"The word listen contains the same letters
as the word silent."
- Alfred Brendel

Be still, and in the quiet moments,
listen to the voice of your heavenly Father.
His words can renew your spirit.
No one knows you and your needs like He does.
- Janet L. Weaver

"Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the LORD."
Psalm 27:14

God, my Father, teach me to listen in silence.
Give that I let others pronounce,
and that I know to turn around my tongue a few times
before my response.
Give also that in the moments of silence
I always know how to find You
and let me hear Your Voice and understand it.

Listen, or thy tongue will keep thee deaf

"Listen, or thy tongue will keep thee deaf."
- American Indian Proverb

"Everyone should be quick to listen and slow to speak,
and slow to become angry."
James 1:9

"He who answers before listening -
that is his folly and shame."
Proverbs 18:14

Lord, learn me to listen first
and make that I take up the words in me and consider
before responding.
Make that I can always give an apprehensive ear to listen
and that I can give meaningful answers.

Get up in the morning and pray for the Lord's blessings

"Get up in the morning and pray for the Lord's blessings ... Pray for guidance. Pray for all these things. And then all the little things kind of slide in." - Mike Piazza

"Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge." Proverbs 1:5,7 Already in the morning I put my ear to listen to your Word. With my prayers, I urge you to teach me wisdom and discipline. Can the meaning of words of understanding be admissible for a fruitful teaching. For justice, sense of duty and honesty. Your opinion, I fear, but your love I ask, accompany me to eternal life.
