Catholics facing a totally different Holy Week

For Pope Francis at the Vatican, and for Catholics worldwide from churches large and small, this will be an Easter like none other, like for real Christians this week shall be one of isolation whilst otherwise so busy with meeting and sharing the Good News.

The joyous message of Christ’s resurrection will be delivered to empty pews in the Christian world.
Bible students all over the world, who normally gather on 14 Nisan to have their Memorial Meal shall not be able to gather in this time of lockdown.
Also the Jews shall not be able to invite friends and poor people to their seder and shall have to celebrate the Passover meal on their own.

For the Catholics and many protestants, the world seems to come to a stand still, having no mass or worship services in public any more. Some protestant churches already spoke of a devil (Satan) making sure there would come an end to people serving and worshipping God.

Worries about the coronavirus outbreak have triggered widespread cancellations of Holy Week processions and in-person services. Many priests and pastors will preach on TV or online, tailoring sermons to account for the pandemic.
Many extended families will reunite via Face Time and Zoom rather than around a communal table laden with a Pesach Memorial Meal on Wednesday the 8th of April or an Easter feast on April 12.

Pope Francis, the first pontiff from Latin America, will be celebrating Mass for Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday and Easter in a near-empty St. Peter’s Basilica, instead of in the huge square outside filled with Catholic faithful.

Finding our identity in serving God

Questioning who we are, who we want to meet, who we want to spend days with, how we want to go through life, in the back of our head we always have to be sure that we shall have to try to live according to the Will of the most High.

A pastor with Biblical Worldviews reminds us on WordPress it is common knowledge that a large percentage of our short lives is invested in our workplaces.
This means that there will be plenty of worldly temptations vying for our attention intended to gradually pull us away from a healthy and intimate relationship with God. These worldly temptations may include: climbing the corporate ladder at the expense of relationships; seeking career promotions for the love of money(root of all evil); relying on work as a source for approval and recognition; allowing yourself to be defined by your work(identity); or even allowing work to become a replacement for God through idolatry.
....
From a larger scope, as Christians we can always find our answer in the Truth from the Gospel in that Christ has already paid the price. We no longer need to prove ourselves, and/or ever perform to be accepted. We are already proven and made secure through His atoning sacrifice for all our sins.

Being sure of their deliverance

In the old times before Christ Jesus (Jeshua) was born there were several people who believed in the Creator and his promises. They were sure that the divine Creator was with them and would continuously guide them through easy but also through difficult times.
The Holy Bible in Modern Greek translated by N...
The Holy Bible in Modern Greek translated by Neophytus Vamvas (Νεόφυτος Βάμβας): At Exodus 6:3 the divine name of God, the sacred Tetragrammaton, is rendered "Ιεοβά" (Ieová, that is "Yehova" (Eng.) or "Iehova" [Lat.], also "Ιεχωβά" [Gr.]). (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

In the Holy Scriptures we can find the Hebraic writers and the congregations of ancients who used their songs in worship to God and did not mind showing to others in Whom they believed and how He was guiding them and giving them deliverance.

Those men of God had a special relation with Him, whom they could not see. But they told others about their experience an ongoing, intimate walk with God and for that reason they could have faith in Him about their deliverance.
English: John the Baptist baptizing Christ

Psalms 32:6-11 The Scriptures 1998+:  (6)  Therefore, let every kind one pray to You While You might be found; Even in a flood of great waters They would not reach him.  (7)  You are my hiding place; You preserve me from distress; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.  (8)  “Let Me instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; Let Me counsel, My eye be on you.  (9)  Do not be like the horse, like the mule, With no understanding, with bit and bridle, Else they do not come near you.”  (10)  Many are the sorrows of the wrong; But as for the one trusting in יהוה {Jehovah}, Kindness surrounds him.  (11)  Be glad in יהוה {Jehovah} and exult, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
Like King David those men could say these things and mean them because they like we knew they could count on the Only One God, the Elohim Hashem Jehovah. And they were willing to give their heart and soul (their whole being) onto the Eternal Creator and led them be fed by His Mighty Power the Holy Spirit.

Today we still can look forward to the “songs of deliverance” with great joy and big expectations. For we have received the Full Grace of Salvation. By Jesus Christ the Messiah our relationship with the Creator is restored and we can go up to our Holy father in heaven. Because of the Offer of Jeshua (Jesus Christ) we have received the  proffered gift of salvation and presence with and friendship with Jehovah for all eternity. though we still may do faults we can count on it that we can get forgiveness of sins through Jesus the Messiah, who is the son of God, the only human being who resisted all evil and who managed to stay clean in the eyes of God, always doing the will of his Father above his own will.

God took care that we still can read the old songs of deliverance and we too can use them. Therefore take up the Bible and use those songs and prayers to worship the Only One God and show your thanks for His blessings.

For Jehovah is greatly to be praised

[those] who stand in the house of Jehovah, in the courts of the house of our god, praise Jehovah; for Jehovah [is] good; sing praises to his name, for [it is] full of delight. for Jehovah has chosen Jacob to himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure. for I know that Jehovah [is] great, and our LORD [is] above all gods. every thing Jehovah pleased, he did in the heavens and in earth, and in the seas and all deep places. he causes the vapors to rise from the end of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain; he brings wind out of his storehouses.” (Ps 135:1-7 MKJV)

“now thanks [be] to god, who always causes us to triumph in christ, and he revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of him in every place. for we are to god a sweet savor of christ, in those being saved, and in those being lost; to the one [we are] the savor of death to death, and to the other we are the savor of life to life. and who is sufficient for these things?” (2Co 2:14-16 MKJV)

Songs in the night Worship God only

Songs in the night

Get thee hence, Satan:
for it is written,
Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God,
and him only shalt thou serve.
Matthew 4:10

DURING the forty days in the wilderness our Lord had come to see that the dominion of earth could be attained only through great
suffering.
He was weak from his long fast, and all the details of prophecy were
before his mind. He saw himself as a lamb dumb before his shearers; as the serpent lifted up in the wilderness.
Satan’s suggestion was a temptation, but after consideration he saw that Satan was asking him to violate his covenant
— to go contrary to God’s will.
Immediately he answered, “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou
serve.”
Then the devil left the Lord, finding nothing to work upon
— so loyal was Jesus to the Word of Jehovah.
Afterwards the angels came and ministered unto him. —Z. 1912-262 (Hymn 200)

Songs of the night
